HALDIMAND—The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is hosting free Fight Fraud seminars for members of the community to protect themselves and loved ones from becoming victims of fraud related scams.
The OPP has seen an increase in reported frauds with hundreds of thousands of dollars being lost to various scams occurring in our communities. Safeguarding yourself and your loved ones is key to combatting this rising trend, which often targets the vulnerable and trusting members of our communities.
Please join us for three seminars being held in the following locations:

Monday, March 27, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dunnville Community Lifespan Centre located at 275 Ramsey Drive in Dunnville.
Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Caledonia Lions Club located at 100 Haddington Street in Caledonia.

“If we can eliminate the economic incentives for scammers, we can eliminate their behaviour completely. All residents in Haldimand County are being encouraged to continually stay educated on the various scams that are occurring in our community.
“Stay up to date with the various scams,” said Inspector Jodi Kays, Interim Detachment Commander, Haldimand County OPP, encouraging residents to visit by antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/index-eng.htm.
