CAYUGA—A driver was arrested after police located a vehicle stopped in a live lane of traffic on Kohler Road near Cayuga.
On May 24, 2024 at approximately 9:25 p.m., while on patrol, a member of Haldimand OPP located a vehicle with the driver who appeared to be sleeping.
Once speaking with the driver, the officer had reason to believe the driver had consumed alcohol, placed them under arrest, and transported them to a police station for testing.
As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old of Mississauga has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on July 30, 2024.
