Impaired driver in collision over three times legal limit

HAGERSVILLE—On October 9, 2021 at 7:52 p.m., Haldimand OPP and Haldimand County Paramedics responded to Main Street North in Hagersville for a report of a motor vehicle collision. A witness reported observing a vehicle strike a pickup truck that was parked and unattended.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old of Selkirk is charged with:

  • Driving a motor vehicle while impaired
  • Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
