CAYUGA—On May 27, 2026 at approximately 3 p.m., a victim of an assault that occurred in Cayuga following a neighbour dispute incident on May 8 attended the Haldimand OPP Detachment to report the incident.
An investigation determined that an assault did occur and that the parties involved are known to one another.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old from Cayuga was charged with assault under the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on July 14 in Cayuga. The charge has not been proven in court.
