OPP Brief: Charges laid in two-vehicle collision in Caledonia

CALEDONIA—On January 24, 2026, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Haldimand OPP received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Argyle and Caithness streets in Caledonia.

The investigation determined that a pick-up truck and a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) collided at that intersection. No injuries were reported.

A 58-year-old Binbrook resident was charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, operation of a motor vehicle while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80-plus, and following too closely.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on March 10. The charges have not been proven in court.
