DUNNVILLE—On June 23, 2026, around 8 p.m., Haldimand OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Concession 2 Walpole, Selkirk. The investigation determined the driver of the motor vehicle fled the scene on foot.
Police quickly located the individual. As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old from Selkirk was charged with: fail to remain; careless driving; and fail to notify change of address.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 2. The charge has not been proven in court.
