CAYUGA—On June 26, 2026 at approximately 3:20 a.m., Haldimand OPP conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Ouse Street, Cayuga. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Haldimand County OPP detachment.
As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old of Port Dover has been charged with: operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus); and having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on August 11. The charge has not been proven in court.
