OPP makes quick arrests following theft in Caledonia

CALEDONIA—Haldimand OPP has charged two individuals following a theft from a pharmacy on Argyle Street South in Caledonia on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:28 p.m.

Witnesses reported two females were inside the pharmacy where they removed several items and fled. OPP quickly located the two female suspects a short distance away where they were taken into custody without incident. A search conducted also revealed a quantity of illicit drugs and a prohibited device. OPP has charged a 24-year-old of Hamilton with: Theft over $5,000; Possession of a prohibited device for a dangerous purpose; Fail to Comply with a probation order. OPP has also charged a 39-year-old of Hamilton with: Theft over $5,000; Possession of a Schedule I Substance.

Both accused are to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
