Police presence on Six Nations territory poses no risk to public safety

OHSWEKEN—The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch is advising the public of a heightened police presence at a property on 1st Line in Six Nations of the Grand River territory over the next week.

This activity is part of the Amber Ellis missing person investigation. There is no risk to public safety. The owners and tenants of the property are not considered persons of interest in this investigation.

OPP members are expected to be at the location for several days.

Six Nations Police Service members will be present to provide assistance.

No additional information will be provided, as this relates to an ongoing investigation.
