Police seize drugs and cash in Hagersville arrest

HAGERSVILLE—One person is facing multiple charges following a warrant execution at a residence in Hagersville.

On September 26, 2023, at approximately 4:45 p.m., members of the Haldimand OPP, Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit, and the Emergency Response Team Canine Unit executed a warrant at a home on John Street. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and oxycodone, along with cash, gift cards, and a prohibited knife. 

A 55-year-old of Hagersville, is facing the following charges under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act:

  • Possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
  • Possession of a prohibited device
  • Possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000)

The accused was taken into custody without incident and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 24, 2023.
