DUNNVILLE—On Friday, August 27, 2021 at 9:46 p.m., Haldimand OPP responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Pine Street and Alder Street West in Dunnville. The individual was located, but escaped police custody at the scene. Officers arrested the suspect later that evening.
This individual is also facing charges in connection with a single-vehicle collision in Dunnville on Sunday, August 22, 2021. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a house, causing a fire which did extensive damage to the vehicle and the home.
A 37-year-old of Dunnville was charged with:
- Break and Enter,
- Theft Under $5000,
- Escape Lawful Custody,
- Resist Peace Officer,
- Theft of Motor Vehicle,
- Possession of Property Obtained from Crime Over $5,000,
- Mischief Endangering Life,
- Fail To Stop After Accident
