RIDE check leads to charges

CALEDONIA—Haldimand OPP charged a driver with impaired while conducting a RIDE spot-check on Argyle Street, Caledonia. On November 17, 2024, at approximately 1:15 a.m., an individual was placed under arrest after police assessed the driver’s sobriety. As a result, a 31-year-old of London has been charged with the following charges:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

  The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on December 24, 2024.
