Search warrant results in two people charged in relation to seized drugs

DUNNVILLE—On Tuesday, March 8, members of Haldimand OPP executed a search warrant at a Broad Street, Dunnville address.

As a result, officers took two people into custody and seized a quantity of illicit drugs, currency, along with two firearms and ammunition. 

The accused are charged with:

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (two counts),
  • Careless storage of Firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition (two counts),
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine,
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and
  • Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling.

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
