Single motor vehicle collision leads to impaired charges

CREDIT— On January 11, 2022 at 12:30 a.m., Haldimand OPP, Six Nations Emergency Services, and Haldimand Fire Services responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Second Line in Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. 

While speaking with the driver, signs of alcohol consumption were detected. The lone occupant suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for assessment. After being released from the hospital, the individual was transported to an out-of-town OPP detachment for additional testing. The accused is charged with the following offences:

  • Driving a motor vehicle while impaired
  • Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
