DUNNVILLE—On Friday, September 8, 2023 at 2:30 a.m., members of the Haldimand OPP and Haldimand Fire were contacted regarding a single-vehicle collision where a vehicle left North Shore Drive and entered the canal.
Officers attended the scene along with Haldimand County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Haldimand Fire.
The 35-year-old driver, from Stoney Creek, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
North Shore Drive was closed between Mumby Road and Taylor Road for the investigation and reopened shortly after 8 a.m. that same day.
