Stolen skid steer recovered in Jarvis, area resident arrested

JARVIS—One person has been charged after Haldimand County Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) recovered a stolen skid steer in Jarvis.

On Monday, December 5, 2022, Haldimand OPP CSCU entered into a theft investigation after receiving information from Halton Regional Police Service. 

It was determined a 2012 Caterpillar 242B3 skid steer valued at approximately $60,000, had been reported stolen and was currently located at an address on Talbot Street West in Jarvis, Haldimand County. Police located the property, and one person was arrested.

The skid steer was located and returned to the rightful owner.

A 43 year-of-old from Haldimand County has been charged with:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Cayuga at a later date.
