Three impaired drivers charged within hours

HALDIMAND—Three drivers are facing impaired charges after being arrested within hours of each other in Haldimand County.

On May 29, 2024 at approximately 10:20 p.m., Haldimand OPP conducted a traffic stop on Peebles Street in Caledonia. As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old of Binbrook has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

On May 30 at approximately 2:45 a.m., the OPP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Concession 3 Road, Fisherville. As a result of the investigation, a 50-year-old of Selkirk has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

On May 30 at approximately 3:40 a.m., the OPP received a report of a traffic complaint on Indian Line Road near Hagersville. As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old of Leamington has been charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

All accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on later dates.
