CANFIELD—Haldimand OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 56 near Canfield. While speaking with the driver, signs of drug impairment were apparent. The individual was transported to an out of town police station for additional testing.
A 58-year-old of Hamilton is charged with:
- Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drug
- Driving While Under Suspension
- The passenger, a 37-year-old of Canfield, is charged with:
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Fentanyl
The accused individuals are to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
