LOWBANKS—Haldimand OPP and Haldimand County Emergency Services responded to a disturbance at a residence in the town of Lowbanks on June 26, 2022 at 4:26 p.m.
As a result of the investigation, police initially charged a 41-year-old of Lowbanks with the following charges:
- Assault
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, Suffocate or Strangle
- Mischief – Destroys or Damages Property.
Police then charged a 34-year-old of Caledonia with the following charges:
- Assault
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, Suffocate or Strangle
- Mischief – Destroys or Damages Property.
Both accused are to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
