Two-vehicle collision leads to impaired charge

HALDIMAND— On March 24, 2022 at 6:44 p.m., Haldimand OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services, and Haldimand County Emergency Medical Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles on First Line in Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

While speaking with one of the drivers, signs of alcohol consumption were detected.

As a result, a Hagersville resident is charged with the following offences:

Driving a motor vehicle while impaired,

Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood

The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
