DUNNVILLE—Haldimand OPP is investigating the theft and recovery of a motor vehicle. On December 17, 2021 at 10:37 p.m., an unknown person or persons stole a white 2008 Ford Econoline van with Ontario licence plate 3223YM from a residence in Dunnville. The vehicle was locked at the time of the theft.
Shortly after midnight that same night, police were called for an abandoned vehicle in Cayuga that matched the description of the stolen van.
The van was located with the engine running but no one was with the vehicle. The driver’s side door and ignition had been damaged.
