Youth arrested following robbery at Hagersville business

HAGERSVILLE—Haldimand OPP has charged a 16-year-old male youth after investigating a robbery at Giant Tiger on King Street West, Hagersville.

On Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 1:47 p.m., OPP responded to a retail business on King Street West in Hagersville after a witness called 9-1-1 to report a robbery in progress where a male suspect appeared to have an edged weapon. Further information reported that the suspect had fled on foot, last seen eastbound on King Street West. Members of the Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit located the male a short distance away where he was arrested.
