CAYUGA—“Wow, fantastic!” is all the Optimist Club of Haldimand can say to all of our supporters in Haldimand and far-flung areas. Krispy Kreme Donuts – we know you love ‘em – and through your support, we know you care deeply for our youth/children.

On September 17, 2022 the club held its annual fall Krispy Kreme event alongside the South Coast Dream Drive event at the TruNorth Tire Distribution parking lot. The response to our offerings from the community was exceptional and therefore our philanthropy will be exceptional.

A huge thank you to our corporate sponsors. Through their support, all of the funds raised will be going to initiatives that support the youth and children. These businesses were quick to answer the call and deserve their well-earned positive reputations in their communities.

We must thank Al Billyard at South Coast Dream Drive for inviting us to participate in this moving car show. His group worked tirelessly to make this inaugural event a success. This event created the opportunity for services groups from Fort Erie to St. Thomas to raise funds for all kinds of good works. They were selfless by requiring all funds raised by service groups to stay in the communities they serve.

The cornerstone of all of our work is “to support our youth today, so they might see the possibilities of tomorrow.” We fund a wide cross-section of youth/child activities, through our Redi for Optimism In Our Communities Grants (ROOC), our partnerships with the Haldimand Library, Grand Erie District School Board, Jarvis Light Up Night 2021, continued support of food banks and other groups in the county, and our scholarship program.

Because of your love for them, the Optimist Club of Haldimand can carry on “supporting our youth today, so they might see the possibilities of tomorrow.”
