DUNNVILLE—The Dunnville Optimist Club awarded three scholarships to secondary school graduates last month. The Christina Pinnance Memorial Scholarship “Excellence in Volunteerism” was awarded to Brooklyn Kettle-Bergstrand, a graduate of Lakeshore Catholic High School who has “displayed exemplary dedication to bring out the best in the youth and the community through volunteer efforts.”
In the past four years, Brooklyn logged over 240 hours of community service by coaching and assisting hockey, helping with the Lakeshore Grade 8 open houses, participating in church activities, and volunteering in the community with various groups, including the Optimist Club of Dunnville.
