DUNNVILLE—On June 19, 1919, Optimists from 11 US cities met in Louisville, Kentucky to organize Optimist International. There are now over 2,500 Optimist Clubs in over 20 countries around the world.
Wherever Optimists live, they share the values expressed in the “Optimist Creed”. They also share the mission of bringing out the best in the youth and their communities by sponsoring programs for youth, which includes scholarships, sports, leadership, and health and wellness.
