DUNNVILLE—The early morning rain on Saturday, October 17, 2020 did not deter any of the participants who took part in the Henriette McMichen Stride and Ride for Your Hospital event in support of the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation (DHHF).
A total of 67 participants, 11 teams, and over 200 donors walked, ran, biked, or donated to help raise over $32,000. These funds will support the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital meet the demands of increased costs associated with COVID-19 and purchase priority medical equipment.
“With the event having to transition to virtual, we were unsure how successful we would be,” says Penny Banks, Executive Director of the DHHF. “The community was looking forward to gathering to celebrate the first annual Henriette McMichen Stride and Ride for Your Hospital event, however with gathering restrictions we had to change the format. It is very clear that the impact of the change was minimal!”
