DUNNVILLE — While surfing the internet at 4 a.m. on January 28, 2021, Deborah Pearson of Dunnville saw something pop up online about the current Guinness World Record for the largest crocheted granny square.
She immediately made the decision to beat that record as soon as she possibly can, and she got right to work.
Pearson said, “Now call it crazy, call it cabin fever, or call it whatever you want, but I then said out loud to myself, ‘I am going to do this, but out of odds and ends, and I will name my blanket ‘Scrappy’ the granny square.’”
