FISHERVILLE—The Fulsom family of Fisherville has reached 90 years of annual reunions. On Sunday, July 10, 2022, the family saw 39 happy members gathered once again in the Fisherville Lions park to visit, play ball, and have a pot luck dinner together. The first reunion was in 1932 as a birthday party for Gordon Fulsom (grandsons Robert, Davin, and Paul). Congratulations to Doreen Fulsom Dorge from Buffalo, who will be 90 years young this December and was the oldest family member in attendance; her son Daryl flew from New Orleans to bring her, making him the family member to travel the furthest. In 1638 the first American Folsom family (John and Mary Foulsham) immigrated from England to a British colony near Boston. Years later in 1791 the first Canadian Fulsom (Jonathon and Catharine) immigrated to upper Canada near Attercliffe as United Empire Loyalists. All local Fulsoms are their descendants. “We thank God for our heritage,” said local Joan Fulsom, who submitted this photo and information.
