DUNNVILLE—The new location of the Dunnville Salvation Army Community and Family Services building held their grand opening ribbon cutting on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

The building was busy as dignitaries, representatives of the Salvation Army, staff, and community members came out for a tour. Also in attendance was Sharon Smith, who works for the Child Nutrition Network and presented Salvation Army with a Partnership Recognition Award for their nine years of partnership with Haldimand Norfolk Reach.

Lisa Gibb is the face visitors see when they arrive. She said, “It’s a beautiful space, it feels like home. We just love it; we are so excited. We see more people coming in.”

Breanne Hunter, Manager, thanked the Salvation Army, her staff, and the many volunteers for all of the time and effort it took to get the facility up and running. Hunter said, “Thank you to our volunteers who help make every day possible for us with the amount of work they put into our new food bank system, our sorting area, we couldn’t have done it without them.”
