CALEDONIA/SELKIRK—Santa made a couple of stops in Haldimand County over the past week.

November 26 to 29, Santa and his elves toured the streets of Caledonia on his float that was all decked out with a sleigh and lights. Santa toured different neighbourhoods in Caledonia each night, hoping to visit families while following COVID-19 social distancing protocols.

The annual Selkirk Illuminated Tractor Parade was able to happen this past Saturday, November 28, 2020 as well. This year was a little different as a socially distanced event; attendees were invited to drive through a laneway past the stationary, lit-up tractors and floats. About 500 cars were lined up across town to view the stationary floats, and they stayed lit much longer than the original time frame of 6 to 7 p.m. to be sure all the people who came out could see the light show. Santa and Mrs. Claus were there to greet boys and girls as they drove by in their vehicles.

December 4 Santa will be in Cayuga to tour the streets.
