HALDIMAND—The team behind Haldimand’s popular Santa to a Senior program was out in full force the week before Christmas, delivering personalized presents to residents of various long-term care homes and community care programs. The program, which completed its third annual campaign in 2022, was nominated by CBC in December as part of their ‘22 Acts of Kindness’ awards, and was featured on a national telecast. Initially, a gift-giving parade was scheduled to take place on Friday, December 23, but with the impending winter storm, organizers rallied and were able to successfully reschedule the delivery date to Wednesday, December 21, delivering hundreds of gifts donated by participants across Haldimand. The team will be back in 2023 with a new campaign.
