CAYUGA—It’s the tree that just keeps on going. Starting as a Christmas tree last year during the first pandemic holiday season, officials at South Cayuga Community Church decided to leave the tree up and it has since remained a fixture.
“The tree was decorated for Christmas so that it would be in the background of our recorded services for YouTube during that season. Then it got undecorated but never actually taken down and put away,” explained Pastor Dawn Hill. “So, during the winter a congregant who helps weekly with the worship service recording suggested decorating it for Easter.”
