VITTORIA—Scotlynn Sweetpac Growers has been fined for failing to take precautionary measures in the early days of the COVID pandemic, leading to the death of 55-year-old migrant worker Juan Lopez Chaparro, shown above.

VITTORIA—Scotlynn Sweetpac Growers pled guilty to one count of failing to take reasonable precautions to protect employees on Monday, June 6, 2022 and was fined $125,000 in relation to the death of a migrant worker from COVID-19 in 2020.
