Scouts hold food drive in support of Salvation Army
DUNNVILLE—On Saturday, November 28, 2020 the 2nd Dunnville Venturer Scouts set up shop at the Dunnville Farmers Market to receive donations for their Food Drive to support Dunnville’s Salvation Army. Since COVID-19 hit, the Venturers hoped to help the community, which has been so supportive of the 2nd Dunnville group. Due to restrictions earlier this year, they had to wait patiently until they were able to execute their plan. With the help of the Dunn-ville community, they collected 283 lbs. of non-perishable items and just over $100 in cash. Approximately 35 people visited the Venturers during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shown are Venturers (l-r) Dakota, Isaac, Shay, Thomas, and Hailey. —Photo courtesy of Rita Rickus, Group Commissioner, 2nd Dunnville Scouting Group.
