DUNNVILLE—For the past 20 months, Deborah Pearsan of Dunnville spent long hours crocheting ‘Scrappy the Granny Square’ attempting to break a Guiness World Record beginning on January 28, 2020.
Over this time, Pearsan hauled Scrappy around and crocheted every chance she could, even in the wee hours of the morning. She was about 40% to her goal, having crocheted 539 square feet compared to the 1,311-square-foot record.
