Search ends in tragedy as body of 8-year-old found in Lake Erie

TURKEY POINT—The body of a missing 8-year-old boy was discovered by OPP on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

“As I bring this update to you, it is with a heavy heart. At approximately 2:15 this afternoon, members of the OPP underwater search and recovery unit and OPP marine unit located the eight-year-old missing child deceased,” said Acting Sgt. Ed Sanchuk in an update on Twitter.
