JARVIS—A jubilant group of 51 seasoned souls gathered at Wesley United Church in Jarvis on Friday, February 22, 2019 to celebrate the third anniversary of the beginning of the Seasoned Souls gathering in Jarvis. The event happens 11 months of the year on the fourth Friday night of the month with dinner and entertainment. Cam Woolvett, singer and instrumentalist, was the entertainer at the birthday party.

Donna Guthrie and Joanne Bartlett became friends recently after meeting in a grief counselling group. Seasoned Souls provided them an outlet to enjoy time together and with others to socialize and celebrate.

It was a special evening for Pat Wright as well. Pat was the instigator for Seasoned Souls and continues to be the inspiration for the volunteers at Wesley who put on the event each month. Pat previously did a similar event in Townsend, but some time after joining the Jarvis church she started it again there. Pat was especially looking forward to celebrating Seasoned Souls after being away due to health concerns.
