SELKIRK—Selkirk’s Poppy Project was launched January 2021 and crafters are busy making knit or crocheted poppies. The Chamber of Commerce, along with help from volunteers, will create outdoor drapes of poppies to adorn the memorial gates in Selkirk, and possibly the Selkirk Community Centre, to enhance veteran awareness this Remembrance Day and in years to come.

The Royal Canadian Legion, which owns the rights to the poppy, have approved the display from the last Saturday in October until November 12.
