HAGERSVILLE—Just in time for last week’s precipitous drop in temperature and snow storm, the ladies at Hagersville United Church were ready to meet their freezing patrons with a hot bowl of homemade chili at lunchtime on Friday, March 22, 2024. For just $10, participants got to take a piping hot bowl of deliciousness, served with a fresh bun, and a side of homemade cookies to boot. Pictured in the kitchen with a pot of their famous dish are Dianne Strohm, Sandra House, Jo-Ann Duns, Maggie Dennis, and Dale Vecero. If delicious, homecooked chili is your thing, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the next lunch; this is the best bowl in town, hands down.       —Haldimand Press photo by Mike Renzella
