SIMCOE—The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) has issued notices of proposal to revoke the licence of Baldock Funeral Home, South Coast Funeral & Cremation Alternative, and Paul Taylor, owner of the two establishments.
“The intention and objective of the (Funeral, Burial, and Cremation Services Act, 2002) is to protect the public interest. In doing so, the Act requires that applicants carry on business in accordance with the law and with integrity and honesty, and that they be financially responsible in the conduct of business,” stated the BAO website. “The Registrar has reasons to believe that the conduct of the licensee is inconsistent with the intention and objective of the Act.”
