Six Nations Elected Council extends our deepest sympathies to all the victims of the tragic Ethiopian Airlines flight crash. Our condolences are especially with the family of Dawn Tanner who was aboard the Sunday (March 10) flight headed to Nairobi, Kenya.

Prior to joining the Grand Erie District School Board, Dawn Tanner had a direct positive impact to the Six Nations community, teaching at JC Hill Elementary School and helping to shape the lives of many of our young students. Dawn also gave time to helping with the Homework Support Program at Six Nations Polytechnic. She had been serving in the role of Department Head for Special Education at Hagersville Secondary School prior to her tragic passing.
