South Cayuga Community Church is walking to Calgary

SOUTH CAYUGA—Before Christmas, when the Board of South Cayuga Community Church was making plans for 2022, we discussed an event for Lent … a walk to Calgary! 

Immediately, many of us thought, ‘Why would we be walking to Calgary?’ As Pastor Dawn began to describe what she had in mind, someone asked, “Why walk to Calgary…. Wouldn’t it make more sense to fly or drive?” Pastor Dawn quickly replied, and enunciated, “CALVARY, not Calgary,” which caused many to laugh.
