HAGERSVILLE—Girl Guides of Canada has changed the name of Brownies to Embers and what better way to mark the occasion than with a visit to Hagersville Fire Station #2. Girls from the 1st Hagersville Sparks and Embers unit spent a Monday evening with the volunteer firefighters and, with the help of Sparky the fire dog, they learned about fire safety. Everyone also had a chance to get up close to look at the vehicles and equipment the firefighters use to help keep our community safe. A big thank you to all the firefighters; we really enjoyed our visit! —Submitted photo.
