HAGERSVILLE — On June 5, 2023 at approximately 5:20 p.m. the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a sudden death at Grant Kett Park on Sherring Street, Hagersville.Members of Haldimand OPP and Haldimand County Paramedic Services attended.
Upon arrival, a 33-year-old was located at the scene and pronounced deceased.
Members of OPP West Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS) attended to assist with the investigation. The death has been determined non-suspicious and a post-mortem has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
The park was closed to the public for several hours to facilitate the investigation but has since re-opened.
