HALDIMAND—A new Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie survey shows there is a want to expand public transit in the region.
The Navigating Grand Erie survey heard from 425 residents in Brantford, Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk, Six Nations, and New Credit. Haldimand had the second highest number of respondents at 177, just behind Brantford’s 182.
Over 70% of survey respondents said they would use a public transit system that linked the six communities. About one in five survey respondents said they would use an intercommunity transit system to travel to and from employment.
