JARVIS—The Jarvis Board of Trade Veterans Banners Committee is reaching out to current and past residents of Jarvis and area (Walpole) to obtain the names of veterans to honour in 2024.
If you have a relative or friend who served with any Canadian military organization, who was raised or is interred in the noted area, and who you think should be honoured through this program, we would like to hear from you. We require the veteran’s name, rank, where and when they served, and a picture that can be used for the banner (preferably head and shoulders). Please submit this information by March 31 at the latest via email to jarvisbdoftrade@gmail.com.

Since we started this project in 2019, we have honoured 100 local veterans from the Jarvis and Walpole area and those who were killed while training at the No. 1 Bombing and Gunnery School near Jarvis. Banners are sponsored by the Jarvis Board of Trade and Haldimand County. There is no cost to the veteran’s family.
