With marijuana now legal in Canada, the cannabis growth industry is exploding across the nation, and Thrive Cannabis, located in Simcoe, aims to be at the forefront.

The operation, located at 41 Townline Road, is focused on delivering a top-quality product through the use of world class growing facilities, a state-of-the-art genetics library, and extensive expertise in growth procedures.

Their stated mission is to ‘bring the world’s best cannabis to consumers with superior genetics, while paying homage to the rich history of cannabis.’

The company is the brainchild of entrepreneur Art Bluhm. Prior to starting Thrive, Bluhm spent 35 years working in the automotive and health care industries. His vision revolved around creating a product out of the highest quality dried flower and dried flower offshoots available in the industry.

When looking for strategies to ensure the highest standards, Bluhm came into contact with Tyson Cramer, a cannabis expert based out of Humboldt County, California. Cramer was a key figure in designing and implementing Thrive’s 10,000-square-foot growth operation. The facility was completed in nine weeks, and the company was awarded the 95th ACMPR license in Canada, after initially being placed in a wait list at number 795.
