TOWNSEND—Each year, the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides is held in over 300 communities across Canada. The walk gathers donations to help train guide dogs for Canadians with physical, medical, visual, or hearing disabilities, and to provide them to these Canadians at no cost.
Because of the current COVID-19 situation, however, this year’s walk has changed formats and will be completely digital. This means participants will do any sort of physical activity, all while social distancing on May 31, 2020.
Katie Labrie from the Townsend Lion’s Club will be participating this year and has raised $215 so far.
