HAGERSVILLE—A four-year-old girl of Haldimand is fighting for her life after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday, March 9, 2019 on Main Street South in Hagersville.
Paramedics and police responded to the scene just before 1 p.m. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that an 80-year-old woman from Norfolk was parked on Main Street just past King Street facing south “when the vehicle accelerated while in reverse”, said the police release. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes of traffic, hitting an SUV before going over the curb.
