HALDIMAND—As a small business owner, Kelly Rust has a passion for contributing to her community, and she wanted to do something special this year.
“I’ve got a big soft spot for seniors. My grandma is still alive at 95; I know how much they need that extra little bit, especially at Christmas and especially with COVID. I knew this year that whatever we were going to do to contribute to the community, I wanted it to involve seniors,” said Rust.
Her business, Hagersville-based SheDo Tax Company, has partnered with their neighbours My Sweet Sweet World to add a little Christmas cheer for local clients of Meals on Wheels, a meal service run by Haldimand Norfolk Community Senior Support Services. Together, they handed out special holiday chocolate bars to local clients who use the service.
